HOMMAGE: A LOVE STORY BETWEEN PAST AND FUTURE

Hommage – the new collection from Création Baumann,  reflects on nearly 140 years of textile innovation. The collection draws from the Swiss house’s archive, reinterpreting its designs with contemporary clarity and technical precision.

Inspired by the 1960s and 70s, nostalgic florals, crochet constructions and twisted weaves are reimagined through a modern lens. The designs channel retro energy with control and sophistication, balancing expressive pattern with meticulous craftsmanship.

Structure and transparency are central. In-house developed weaves explore light, openness and material presence, while tactile plains introduce subtle depth and nuance. Varying levels of transparency throughout the collection create layered interior possibilities — from softly filtered light to more defined spatial statements.

Hommage is both versatile and considered. A collection that honours heritage without dwelling on it — precise, expressive and confidently future-facing.
